FSc Cardiac Technology

FSc Cardiac Technology is a specialized program within the Faculty of Science that focuses on the study and application of technologies related to the heart and circulatory system. This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases. Students learn about the anatomy and physiology of the heart, as well as the operation and management of sophisticated medical equipment used in cardiac care, such as ECG machines, Holter monitors, and stress testing systems.

The curriculum typically covers a range of subjects including cardiovascular pharmacology, cardiac procedures, patient care, and the principles of biomedical instrumentation. Hands-on training is a key component of the program, allowing students to gain practical experience in monitoring heart functions, performing diagnostic tests, and understanding the technical aspects of cardiac care. Graduates of FSc Cardiac Technology are prepared for careers in hospitals, cardiac clinics, and research centers, where they play a vital role in supporting cardiologists and ensuring the effective treatment of heart-related conditions. With the increasing prevalence of heart diseases, the demand for skilled cardiac technologists continues to grow, making this an important and rewarding field in the healthcare industry.
